The Nevada Department of Wildlife has a mandate that all boaters born on or after January 1, 1983 who wants to operate a powered watercraft over 15 horsepower must meet a boater education requirement and have a Nevada boating license on board when the vessel is underway to comply to Nevada boating regulations.
